Bath Fizzer Chemistry! Bath Fizzer Making Class (K-6th)

Students will enjoy measuring, pouring, mixing, and experimenting with different colors, scents, and recipes in this fun bath bomb class. Each class will be filled with fun and cool new techniques to try different types of bath bombs to use or gift. What a fun new hobby!

 

Skills & Creativity with LEGO Bricks: DC Landmarks (3rd-6th)

Explore your creativity by building some of the most famous buildings in the Washington DC Metro area. Explore the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument. Pick out the best parts of each structure and create them using LEGO® bricks. Learn to use pieces in unconventional ways while building great masterpieces. Meet the challenges presented each day while placing your own creative stamp on them. This isn’t about following LEGO® instruction booklets, it’s about building awesome creations and sharing them with friends.

TGA Afterschool Pickleball Program (K-2nd)

GET READY TO DINK, DRIVE, AND VOLLEY WHILE HAVING FUN WITH TGA!

Led by trained and vetted coaches, TGA Pickleball uniquely combines athletics, academics, and life lessons to create a fun, active, and entertaining camp experience.

TGA programs include skill development, lessons on rules & etiquette, and activities that explore academic concepts through the lens of the sport. All levels/abilities are welcome and equipment is provided.

 

Autumn Artifacts: Pottery from Around the World (K-6th)

This fall, embark on a cultural journey with "Autumn Artifacts: Pottery from Around the World" at Jimmy Potters' mobile pottery workshop! Each week, young artists will explore a new country, delving into its rich pottery traditions and crafting their own clay creations inspired by global masterpieces. From the intricate designs of Moroccan ceramics to the vibrant patterns of Mexican Talavera tiles, children will experience the beauty and history of diverse cultures. This workshop offers a unique blend of cultural education and hands-on creativity, perfect for sparking curiosity and artistic expression. Chess (K-6th)

Learn chess with Magnus Academy (formerly Silver Knights), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. Cartooning Art (K-4th)

Young Rembrandts™ Cartooning curriculum uses a structured stepwise format to teach students to create their own animated characters in humorous settings. We break down objects and ideas into simple shapes, then use exaggeration, caricature, and personification to playfully construct our own cartoon images. Our Cartooning curriculum develops academically relevant skills, including spatial-motor planning, mental discipline and fine motor skills, while providing a fun, enriching experience for our students. New lessons every week!

Skills & Creativity with LEGO Bricks: Exploring Space (K-2nd)

Explore constructs you might find in space. Focus on what is in space or navigating through space. Build planets, stars, rockets, the International Space Station, Land Rovers or imagine your own space vehicle with LEGO bricks. Create what you know or imagine what is yet to be discovered.
